Diamant Weber AG was founded in 1896 by Mrs. Elisabeth Weber in Biel/Bienne and was entered in the Swiss Commercial Register in 1904. Until 1987 it was part of the Henri Weber diamond cutting company.

In 1922 the son of Mrs. Weber took over the company and continued to run it as "Henri Weber Diamond Cutting Shop".

In 1939, the company headquarters were moved to Zurich, where, in addition to the pure cutting shop, the trade with diamonds and the sale of jewelry was now also taken up.

In the mid-sixties, the company increasingly focused on a jewelry and industrial sector. On the one hand investment diamonds and jewelry were offered, on the other hand the tool production was expanded and new manufacturing processes were introduced. As a consequence, the two areas also appeared externally with different names. The industrial department was renamed the name "Diamant Weber".

In 1985, the industrial department moved into its own premises, separate from the parent company. 1987 the departments were transferred into two independent stock corporations

On January 1, 1988, the Weber family sold their shares in "Diamant Weber AG" to a new owner and thus withdrew completely from the industrial sector.
 

In 2000, Diamant Weber AG entered into a cooperation with a company best known in the market for diamond tools and abrasives. At the same time the company moved from Zurich to Winterthur.
 
In the following years Diamant Weber AG was developed into a tool manufactory, which continuously developed and expanded its product range.
 
A milestone in the research of Diamant Weber AG was the development of vitrified bonded CBN grinding wheels as well as CBN internal grinding wheels.
